According to Realme community product staff, the most awaited software update of color OS 6 based on Android pie has been started to roll out. Some users got the OTA update and some will get it soon. Now let’s discuss in detail
Added notification icons in status bar
Status bar is the topmost section of your mobile screen on which you see battery icon, network signal, time etc. Now you will able to see the application icons for the notifications you received.
Added app drawer
On ColorOS 5, you find all the apps on the main screen weather you need them or not. Now, there is a app drawer like in stock Android so you can arrange only your favourite & useful apps on the mains screen.
Added Riding mode
Like driving mode for driving cars, Realme added Riding mode for cycling. It will mute your all notification except incoming calls.
Updated default theme & added live wallpaper
I know you get bored with the default realme theme so know realme changed their default old theme. You can now also download the interesting themes like pubg theme. In color OS live wallpaper option was missing which is upgraded in new color OS.
Added new UI for notification panel
Now you will not see the round shaped notification panel icons. This is the major change in colorOS 6. Round shapes are converted into rectangular shapes with rounded corners. Even brightness bar also become rectangular. Its good for the users they will get a new look though it could irritate some users because of it’s big size and occupying more space.
New security patch
New but not the latest, now it’s july and you will get security patch of may month.
Nightscape mode added
In camera section, nightscape mode is added to improve your photo captured in dark. And Chroma boost to enhance photos in light condition.
